Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year.  It is going to be an exciting time in the 4th grade!

What an opportunity this year presents!  It will be a joy to work with your children. 

 This year we will be exploring many topics in both Language Arts and Social Studies.  The students are going to have many ways to grow together, but also to be challenged individually.

A Typical Day in 4th Grade 

8:15-8:45 - Advisement- Our small advisement gets together for community building and social skills activities. 

8:45-9:15 - Foreign Language, Study Skills, Keyboarding

9:15-10:00 - Social Studies - This class will explore the regions of the United States and also the influence of other cultures on our country. Lots of hands-on activities and cooperative learning will take place.

10:00-10:45 - Science - Ms. Seta

10:45-12:10 - Language Arts - Wow! We have so many topics to explore - a world of books, spreading creative wings in writing, broadening our vocabulary and spelling skills, practicing grammar concepts by using books, projects, and editing challenges.
We also take a snack break at 10:00 to recharge our brains!

12:10 - 12:50 - Lunch and Recess
(12:50-2:30 - afternoon Language Arts)
12:50-1:40 - Religion M-TH, Health- Friday

1:40- 2:30 - Math- Mrs. Martin

2:30-3:10 - Physical Education/Music/Art
