The children receive a packet of homework each Monday.

They will have language arts and math work pertaining to the skills that are being taught in the classroom.  They will receive the addition/multiplication and subtraction facts that they will be tested on that week also. They will bring their weekly spelling list home Monday in their green folder.  They need to study the words and be prepared for the test which is given on Thursday.

They are expected to look through the packet Monday evening and decide which pages to do each night. I offer suggestions for what to do each night, but they are free to decide when to do the homework.  I do prefer that they do some of the work each night instead of completing it all in a day or two.  The homework is to be returned Friday in the plastic envelope.

Homework Guidelines

  • Always use a pencil to complete your work.

  • Ask your parents to help you with directions, but you should be able to do the work by yourself.

  • Always use your best handwriting.

  • Always answer questions in complete sentences if there is enough room.

  • Ask a parent to check to see you have completed all the assigned work.

  • Return your completed work in the plastic envelope.
