General Directives:

bulletThe English department assumes that written work will reflect the usage of a dictionary and thesaurus.
bulletAn English notebook is a requirement for class and must be brought  to class each day. Note taking is a vital part of our  English program. bulletAn English journal is a requirement for the class. The style of the journal will be recommended by the instructor for the class.
bulletThe English department's program is carefully designed for academic growth in many areas. The department members are eager for the students to accept the program's academic challenges.
