The Summit Country Day School seeks a dynamic and experienced Major Gift Officer to join the Development team for purposes of supporting school fundraising efforts. Reporting to the Development Director, the Major Gift Officer will be responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift donors to support the school’s strategic priorities, including its upcoming campaign. The Summit Country Day School is seeking a part-time Upper School Administrative Assistant serving grades 9-12. This person will be responsible for meeting the needs of the Upper School faculty, staff, students, and parents. Reporting to the Upper School Director, the selected individual will have general responsibility for creating an efficient operation for attendance and working collaboratively in a partnership with the Upper School Administrative Assistant in other office needs. This person will maintain a warm, welcoming environment; manage office activities; maintain accurate attendance records; maintain daily rosters and schedules; provide support, direction & help to students; assist the school nurse in addressing the health concerns of our students; act as a point of contact for visiting parents, vendors, service providers and others; handle phone and email queries, messages and requests. Reporting to the Upper School Director, the Upper School Resources Teacher works with students with special learning needs. He or she would work closely with the other Upper School Resources teacher to provide services for students. This individual is responsible for monitoring student performance and providing the appropriate intervention and instruction for students under his/her care. This intervention may occur in the resources classroom or in other settings. This teacher ensures that students have access to an equitable educational experience through accommodations. The Summit does not modify its curriculum for students with special needs. The ideal candidate would have experience with direct instruction in math, with strengths in Algebra 1 & 2 and Geometry curriculum. Reporting to the Lower School Director, the Literacy Specialist is a faculty member who works collaboratively to implement a quality literacy program that meets the needs of all learners. The selected individual will work closely with classroom teachers in grades 2-4 to support student learning and pedagogical practice, ensuring that data supports decision-making. This individual will lead periodic curriculum revisions, stays current on best practices, and provides 1:1 and small group support based on the needs of individual teachers and students. We are seeking an Assistant Cook to work in our school’s cafeteria Mondays through Fridays, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. during the academic year. This person will be responsible for preparing and cooking hot and cold food for faculty, staff, and students. Click HERE to learn more.

The person selected for this role will be under the supervision of the Auxiliary Programs Manager and will oversee, lead and participate in activities with toddler and school aged children (18 months-Grade 6) and be responsible for providing an appropriately safe, caring and enriching environment for the children enrolled in the Extended Day program. Daily Substitute Teacher pay is $120/day, Long Term Substitute Teacher pay is $140/day.
