Reporting to the Upper School Director, the Upper School Resources Teacher works with students with special learning needs. He or she would work closely with the other Upper School Resources teacher to provide services for students. This individual is responsible for monitoring student performance and providing the appropriate intervention and instruction for students under his/her care. This intervention may occur in the resources classroom or in other settings. This teacher ensures that students have access to an equitable educational experience through accommodations. The Summit does not modify its curriculum for students with special needs. The ideal candidate would have experience with direct instruction in math, with strengths in Algebra 1 & 2 and Geometry curriculum. Reporting to the Upper School Director, the Upper School Honors and AP Chemistry long-term substitute Teacher is a faculty member who works to provide a rigorous science curriculum. This teacher works closely with all science department members to improve student learning and create meaningful instruction. This teacher also manages a small advisory group of students and works closely with the other advisors of that grade level to support those students and to implement our activities around character education and social-emotional learning. Reporting to the Middle School Director, the Middle School Religion and Social Studies Teacher is a Middle School faculty member who works in both the religion and social studies departments in grades 5-8. This teacher provides a meaningful Catholic-based religion curriculum and helps students learn and apply concepts of faith. The Montessori Religion Coordinator supports the spiritual formation of students in the 3–6 Montessori program through weekly Bible stories, songs, and prayer, while also providing additional, structured religion instruction for Kindergarten students through a dedicated afternoon “special.” This role is designed to increase religion instructional minutes in alignment with Archdiocesan recommendations and to intentionally strengthen Catholic identity within the Montessori program. The Summit Country Day School Montessori program is seeking a Montessori Educational Assistant to support our 3–6 community. This role is part of a collaborative team of five Educational Assistants who guide kindergarten students through the afternoon portion of their day and provide classroom support across our ten Montessori 3–6 classrooms. This role requires strong behavior management skills, patience, and the ability to support children during multiple transitions throughout the afternoon. We are seeking an Assistant Cook to work in our school’s cafeteria Mondays through Fridays, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. during the academic year. This person will be responsible for preparing and cooking hot and cold food for faculty, staff, and students. Click HERE to learn more.

This position involves assisting in developing and organizing practices, as well as planning and leading the team through a competitive season. The well qualified applicant will possess a strong knowledge of fundamental field hockey skills and strategies, team dynamics and a willingness to work with the goals of our athletic program. The successful candidate will stress character on and off the court. The coaching season runs from August through mid-October. The Spirit Shop Operations Manager and Event Planner is a part-time employee (approximately 20 hours per week year round) who works with Summit financial, marketing and communications and community engagement leadership, and SPA (Student Parent Association) volunteers to manage day-to-day operations, drive sales, maintain inventory, and manage branding of spirit shop items in accordance with guidelines established by the School. Daily Substitute Teacher pay is $120/day, Long Term Substitute Teacher pay is $140/day.
