The Summit Country Day School is pleased to announce the nine seniors who have been recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC®) for academic achievement. These top students represent 10% of the senior class.

At an awards ceremony on Monday, September 11, dozens of Summit students were recognized for academic and service accomplishments completed in the Spring 2023 semester.
Upper School Director Kelly Cronin has announced results from Advanced Placement tests taken in May and June 2023. The College Board called out 87 Summit scholars for their achievements on the exams, taken when the students were juniors and seniors.
For his immeasurable contributions to The Summit and to the science community statewide, Ed Escudero will be inducted into the 2023 Ohio Senior Citizens Hall of Fame. This prestigious honor is on behalf of Governor Mike DeWine and the Ohio Department of Aging.
Wali Khan ‘23, Kori McLane ‘25, Rowan Lavelle ‘25 and Manuel Cantillo ‘28 competed against other Latin students from around the country in Creative Arts, Graphic Arts, Academic Tests, Athletics and Certamen at the National Junior Classical League convention.
