Seven seniors at The Summit Country Day School were named as semifinalists in the annual National Merit Scholarship Corporation Program. That’s 7% of The Summit’s Class of 2022.
Erin Johnson, a senior at The Summit Country Day School and member of the varsity girls' golf team, is sharing her love for golf with local high school girls. As part of a community project with First Tee, she raised the funds to purchase 25 sets of clubs and bags that are designated to area high schools. The project goal was to purchase 10 sets of clubs and bags.
Ty Wahlbrink SJ professed his first vows of perpetual poverty, chastity and obedience in the Society of Jesus. He will continue his journey to being ordained a Catholic, Jesuit priest at Fordham University in an innovative community ministry-based philosophy Master's program in New York City. He is a 2012 graduate of The Summit Country Day School.
John Trokan, a sixth grader at The Summit Country Day School, received a $1,000 scholarship from the Ohio Tuition Trust Authority for his science project "Do Hot or Cold Conditions Affect Whether the Black Swallowtail Overwinters or Not in the Chrysalis Stage?"
Jocelyn Lauckner, now a freshman at The Summit Country Day School, earned The Harold C. Schott Middle School’s Outstanding Student award for eighth graders in 2021.
Upper School Director Kelly Cronin was notified this week of results from Advanced Placement tests taken in May and June 2021.
