The Summit community gathered for one of the most anticipated events of the spring, our annual Campus Day, which celebrates creativity, collaboration and student voice across every division. This year’s festivities were proudly hosted by our Center for Inspired Creativity, underscoring Summit’s commitment to developing imaginative thinkers, confident creators and engaged learners.
Beginning with Friday's Mix & Mingle, a cocktail preview of Campus Day, all corners of The Summit campus were transformed into a living gallery and performance space.
Art exhibits highlighted student work from every stage of development, revealing a progression of skill, creativity and personal expression. From early explorations of color and form in the Montessori division to advanced, concept-driven pieces by Upper School artists, the exhibits reflected the growth fostered by Summit’s academic and creative programs. Alumni contributions added a meaningful dimension, illustrating the lasting impact of a Summit education and the lifelong nature of creative expression.

A highlight of Campus Day was the National Art Honor Society induction ceremony in St. Cecilia Hall, during which eight Upper School students were formally welcomed into the organization. The ceremony recognized their outstanding artistic achievement, leadership, as well as academic successes
Throughout the afternoon, performances filled the halls and gathering spaces with music and energy. The Upper School Camerata performances featured two historic Summer songs to honor our 135 anniversary year for a near-capacity Immaculate Heart of Mary chapel, and student musicians shined during an instrumental recital that followed.

A variety show in Kyte Theater was the grand finale of the afternoon, highlighting performance arts across divisions. Middle School students impressed audiences with their student-directed play, showcasing not only acting talent but leadership and collaboration behind the scenes. Upper School performers presented an original choreographed song, blending movement and music in a creative expression of student vision. The program also featured a short film created by Upper School drama students and an improv performance from Summit parent and alum MJ Price and her husband, Brett Lyons.

This year's Campus Day served as a tangible expression of Summit’s Strategic Plan in action—where people, purpose and place come together to inspire creativity and excellence. By celebrating artistic endeavors across disciplines and divisions, Campus Day reinforces a commitment to educating the whole child and providing meaningful opportunities for students to discover and share their voices.
