The Summit Country Day School is proud to celebrate Mrs. Karen Cruse Suder, who was recently recognized with the Outstanding Greater Cincinnati Private School Educator Award, presented by Xavier University’s College of Professional Sciences. The honor was bestowed at the annual Excellence in Education celebration held on February 19 and hosted by Mount St. Joseph University.
The event gathered educators, university leaders and community advocates to recognize exemplary teaching across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. Eight individuals were honored in total, each nominated by partnering institutions for their impact on student learning and their contributions to education in our region.
Suder shared how meaningful it was to be among such dedicated educators. She enjoyed dinner with several leaders in Catholic and higher education, including Dr. Laura Saylor (Mount St. Joseph University), Dr. Kathleen Winterman (Xavier University), Matt Daniels (Archdiocese of Cincinnati) and Fr. Eric Sundrup, S.J. (Xavier University).
Daniels fondly recalled his visit to The Summit, including his tour of the Science Department and the school’s Anatomage Table, a highlight of Summit’s commitment to innovation in teaching and learning.
