Eight seniors named Commended Scholars

The National Merit Scholarship Program has recognized eight Summit seniors for their academic excellence, naming them Commended Scholars in 2022. The students scored in the top 50,000 nationwide of all PSAT test-takers last year and, as Commended Scholars, they will receive letters of commendation and are eligible for special merit scholarship awards. 

These students and the four National Merit semi-finalists announced last week (Ali Burns, Lavina Grzymajlo, William McLane, Mia Rahner) comprise 12.5% of the Class of 2023.

"We're incredibly proud of our students who thrive within Summit's rigorous academic program and set the bar for academic achievement," says Kelly Cronin, director of the Upper School division. "They represent the best of The Summit in and out of the classroom."
