Summit Middle School student Oluwatofunmi (Tofunmi) Ajayi '30 showcased his exceptional knowledge of geography by winning the Geography Bee Regional Championship in Columbus this past weekend. Tofunmi’s exceptional performance earned him a gold medal and secured his place among the best young geographers in the country by competing with geography students across the country.
Tofunmi has been invited to compete in the National Championship, which will take place over Memorial Day Weekend in Orlando. His outstanding results have also qualified him for the International Championships, set to be held in Paris in July 2026.
Tofunmi’s success is a testament to his hard work, dedication and passion for learning as part of the academic pillar at The Summit. His journey from regional champion to the national and international stage is a proud moment for both him and the Summit community.
