Sam Vessel receives special award from College Board

Summit Country Days School senior Sam Vessel, West Chester, was recognized as a National African American Scholar by the College Board National Recognition Program.

Sam is committed to service. He has been very active with 4H on the county, state and national level. He’s received the United Nations Association of the United States of America’s Ambassador Award the last four years and the Hamilton County Public Service Recognition Award as a junior.

He is also a participant in the Schiff Family Science Research Institute. His research focused on designing a theoretical model of a rare earth element sensor.

He excels academically, is a member of The Summit’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion Club and participates in athletics.
