Seven seniors at The Summit Country Day School were named as semifinalists in the annual National Merit Scholarship Corporation Program. That’s 7% of The Summit’s Class of 2022.
The outstanding students are Carter Bibler, Parker Bricking, Irene Calderon, Jimmy Fraley, Mimi McNabb, Keenan Schomburger and Jennifer Sullivan. They have each embraced The Summit’s rigorous academic curriculum and advanced placement courses, been involved in extracurricular clubs and sports teams, and spent time volunteering in the community.
To become finalists in the National Merit Scholar program, the seven students will need to maintain outstanding academic records, be active in school and community activities, demonstrate leadership abilities, submit essays, earn SAT scores that confirm their performance on the qualifying test and be recommended by school leaders.
