The Summit girls soccer team secured a 4-0 victory over Worthington Christian, a school near the Columbus area, in the State Semifinals at Springfield High School’s Stadium on Tuesday night. This marks Summit Girls Soccer’s seventh Final Four appearance and the first time in program history with back-to-back state championship appearances. Early goals from Cameron Lorentz and Mia Stevens set the tone for the game. Abigayle Penote added a third goal in the second half, and Lorentz sealed the win with a fourth. With a well-coordinated offense and strong defense, the Silver Knights controlled the match from start to finish, showcasing their teamwork and skill. This win brings them one step closer to their goal of a state title, a testament to the dedication and hard work of the players and coaching staff throughout the season.
The team will face Ottawa-Glandorf in the Division 4 State Championship on Friday, November 8, at 4 p.m. at Historic Crew Stadium, where they’ll compete for the title.
