The Summit Country Day School inducted 63 new members into the National Honor Society (NHS) during a ceremony on Sept. 14 in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel.
During the ceremony, Head of School Rich Wilson discussed the parallels between the ideals of the National Honor Society and The Summit.
“We talked about scholarship, leadership, service and character,” Head of School Rich Wilson said. “All of these are characteristics of a Summit leader of character. And they are characteristics we expect our students to exhibit not just here or in college but throughout their entire life.”

“Character without knowledge breeds mediocrity. Knowledge without character is dangerous,” Mr. Wilson said. “Character and knowledge together yield leaders with grace and wisdom others want to follow. As members of the National Honor Society, we look to you to be leaders of character who lead our Upper School community with grace and wisdom.”
