Summit science program wins prestigious Harold C. Shaw Award

For 73 years, State Science Day, a program of The Ohio Academy of Science, has been recognizing student scientists for their achievements in inquiry-based scientific research and engineering design.

One award the program bestows is the Harold C. Shaw Memorial Outstanding School Award. Of the 176 schools that participated in the program only 14 can lay claim to the award, The Summit Country Day School being among those schools. The Summit is the only high school in Cincinnati to receive this honor.

It is the most prestigious school award, measuring the collective excellence in individual student research as a team-based award.
