On Saturday, January 31, a group of Upper School students participated in Christ Hospital’s annual Women in Medicine outreach program—an event designed to inspire young women to pursue careers in healthcare. The 2026 program offers hands-on experience with equipment and direct interaction with a group of female medical professionals.
Throughout the day, participants rotated through five breakout sessions led by female physicians who shared personal stories about their journeys into medicine—highlighting their career paths, challenges, and the rewards of their work. Students also engaged in hands-on clinical activities across a wide range of specialties, including:

Students returned energized and inspired by their experience. Their stories highlight the impact of offering young women opportunities to learn directly from accomplished physicians—and to picture themselves in those roles in the future.
