The Summit Lower School Library is found on the 1st floor of the Lower School. Centrally located, it is a welcoming place for students and teachers who wish to do research or find age appropriate reading materials. The collection supports the first through fourth grade curricula. The Lower School Library is open from 11:30 am to 3:45 pm, daily.
First through third grade students come to the library on a four-day rotation for library instruction. During library class time, the children are taught library skills and learn how to find information in a variety of reference sources. This time period is also used for checking out books, and hearing stories. The fourth grade works with Mrs. Nelson in the Middle School Library on a four-day rotation.
The Lower School Librarian is Cammie Corder-Nelson. You may contact her with your comments and questions via email.
