Field Hockey
Fitness, Unity and Competitiveness
Field hockey is the longest running sport here at The Summit. It was the first organized sport the school formed.
The Summit competes in the Southwest Ohio Field Hockey League with Indian Hill, Mount Notre Dame, Saint Ursula Academy, Ursuline Academy, Talawanda, Kettering Fairmont and Oakwood.
Emily Betz took over as head coach of The Summit’s field hockey program in 2017 after a year as an assistant coach here. In a short time, she has made the program one to watch. Before joining the field hockey program here, Coach Betz oversaw a middle school program in Columbus. She grew up in Pennsylvania and graduated from The Agnes Irwin School in 2002. She played Division I field hockey at Davidson in North Carolina. She was a team captain in her senior year. Emily is assisted by Sophie Seidner and Todd Kinross.
