Girls' Golf
Steeped in Sportsmanship, History
The sport of golf is steeped in sportsmanship and history, and an appreciation of those attributes is emphasized in The Summit’s varsity girls’ golf program.
Since a resurgence of interest in 2014, each team has improved. The Silver Knights posted a winning record in 2016.
The team competes in a 16-match schedule and calls the Little Miami Golf Center home.
Coach Kevin Schomaker began his Summit coaching career with the JV program before being named varsity coach in 2023. He previously coached golf at Purcell Marian. His coaching philosophy is to get each athlete to believe they can achieve more than what they previously thought possible. His goal is to qualify the team for the district meet and advance at least one golfer to the state meet each year.
