Coaching, competitive training deliver high performance

The Summit baseball team plays a full 27-game schedule every year following a competitive spring training schedule at the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex near Orlando.

The team also participates in the A.J. Cohen Memorial Baseball Tournament.

Summit  plays on a state-of-the art baseball field where high-performance artificial turf and an advanced underlayment system delivers a truer bounce of the ball, cooler surface temperatures and less likelihood of rain-outs. The home field is located on Ehrling Road off Interstate 71 near Red Bank Road.

Summit baseball coach

Andy Poli, who was the varsity baseball coach at The Summit from 2001-2007, returns to lead the program. His teams won sectional championships in five of the six seasons, and his teams captured two district titles (2002, 2007). He was a coach in the Cincinnati East/West all-Star game twice (2002, 2003), a Mizuno all-Ohio coach (2004) and MVC coach of the year (2006). A member of The Summit Athletic Hall of Fame, Poli finished his first tenure with a 127-51 record, a .713 winning percentage. Andy is assisted by Bret Miller, Chris Dooros, Tim Noel and Scott Mays.
