Legends and legacies
Head coach Ryan Fleming's Summit pedigree and his family's reputation in the Cincinnati basketball community run deep. Legendary La Salle basketball coach Dan Fleming, a Summit graduate from 1981, is his father and the man who coached Ryan to a state championship in 2011. And his aunt is Sister Rose Ann Fleming, the former Summit head of school who is also legendary for her contributions and dedication to student-athletes at Xavier University. You can find her retired basketball jersey hanging in the Cintas Center.
Ryan Fleming, a former coach in the Oak Hills High School program, was named The Summit’s varsity boys’ basketball head coach in 2019. He won the state championship with La Salle in 2011 and has grown up around the sport of basketball. Coach Fleming is assisted by Scott Martin, Connor Speed, Kam Chancellor and Mike Kehling.
