Four Summit students exhibit art in MSJ art show

Four Summit students have art work featured in Mount St. Joseph University’s exhibit “Selections 2017.” L to R: Gillian Fajack, Grace Kaegi, Anna Fahrmeier and Luke Ritter.

Four art students at The Summit Country Day Upper School have art on display in Studio San Giuseppe at Mount St. Joseph University.

Juniors Gillian Fajack, Anna Fahrmeier, Grace Kaegi and Luke Ritter each feature a piece of art in the “Selections 2017” exhibition. Art teachers from across the region were invited to submit two pieces of art that represent the quality of their school’s art program. Summit art teacher Tim Henninger submitted a piece of Gillian’s from her digital photography class and selected a mixed media piece by Anna. Ceramics teacher Jamie Grauvogel chose works by Grace and Luke from her class.

The Summit is one of 41 schools and the students are four of 124 represented in the show, which opened Nov. 12 and will close on Dec. 8. This iteration is the 18th, and is the region’s longest continuously running biennial exhibition of art that features work from regional high school artists.
