Summit’s Alexander named High School Soccer Scholar All-American

United Soccer Coaches announced today that Ravin Alexandar, Fairfield, a 2018 graduate of The Summit Country Day School, has been selected to its High School Scholar All-America Team.

“Ravin has demonstrated what it means to be a student-athlete by becoming the first double All-American in our program history,” says The Summit’s Girls’ Soccer Head Coach Mike Fee. “She puts forth as much effort in the classroom as she does on the field, and it is awesome that she can be acknowledged for this. It is incredibly rare for a player to be an All-American on the field and as a scholar. I cannot be any happier that she has received these prestigious recognitions. We are so proud of the way she represented our school and our program.”

Ravin, who will play soccer at Division I University of Louisville this fall, was a high-level competitor at The Summit. She was a member of the 2015 and 2017 Division III state championship girls’ soccer teams and was team co-captain this past season.

A three-year letterwinner and starter, she holds eight school records: 70 career goals; 169 career points; 41 goals in a season (2017); 10 game-winning goals in a season (2017); 12 multiple goal games in a season (2017), 94 points in a season, 2017, 13 consecutive games scored (2017) and 15 consecutive games scored (2017).

Her recognitions include Miami Valley Conference (MVC) Honorable Mention, 2014; 1st Team, 2015 and 2017; Player of the Year, 2017; All-Southwest Ohio, 2015 and 2017; Southwest Ohio Player of the Year, 2017; All-Southwest Ohio Academic, 2015 and 2017; Enquirer All-Star, 2015 & 2017; All-Ohio 1st Team, 2015 and 2017; Ohio Player of the Year, 2017; All-Ohio Academic, 2017; All-Region, 2015 and 2017; All-American, 2017 and a Scholar All-American nominee. Cincinnati USA Women’s Sports Association named her high school soccer player of the year in April.

Ravin and Coach Fee will be invited to attend the United Soccer Coaches All-America Luncheon on Jan.12, 2019 in Chicago, honoring all of the All-Americans for youth, high school and college soccer. The event will take place in conjunction with the 73rd annual United Soccer Coaches Convention.
