10 students receive National Merit Commended Scholar recognition

10 students from The Summit Country Day School have been named Commended Scholars by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. 

The students are Caitlin Barnes, Hyde Park; Ben Carcieri, Hyde Park; Nick Dahling, Loveland; Julia Dean, Mount Washington; Luke Desch; Dayton, KY; Brigid Devine, Mariemont; Lilly Gieseke, Hyde Park; Emily Harris, Amberley; Luke Ritter, Anderson Township; and James Speed, Springdale.

The Commended Scholar recognitions are in addition to semifinalist recognition, special scholarship considerations and the College Board National Hispanic Recognition Program. Altogether, 13 percent of The Summit’s graduating class have been given some kind of recognition from these programs.
