A rising senior at The Summit Country Day School received recognition from US Lacrosse, the national governing body for youth players.

Throughout her career, Sydni Black, East Walnut Hills, has proved she is one of the best girls’ lacrosse players in Cincinnati, the region and the state. Now, she can call herself one of the best players in the nation when she achieved all-American status.

A US Lacrosse all-American is a player who exhibits superior skills and techniques and possesses exceptional game sense and knowledge. A US Lacrosse All-American is one of the best players in the United States, while also embodying excellent sportsmanship.

“I am truly humbled to receive such a high honor,” Sydni said. “It is a testament to the hard work our team put in this year. Behind these awards, it is important to remember the people who helped you achieve accolades such as this one.”

As a captain on the varsity team, Sydni helped lead the Silver Knights to a 17-2 record and an appearance in the regional final game
