Whether you’re a parent looking for a summer camp to enhance your child’s learning, a middle schooler who is working on making the next movie blockbuster or an Upper School senior looking for guidance in writing an outstanding college application essay, The Summit Country Day School has a summer experience for you.
Summit Summer offers camps, special interest courses and summer classes which are open to all students in the Greater Cincinnati area. Programs run for nine weeks from June 1 through August 7, Monday through Friday on The Summit campus.
Camps are designed to enrich the learning and socialization of the whole child in a fun and interactive way. Weekly themes and a wide range of full and partial day programming are offered for children from preschool through grade eight in two formats:
- Traditional Day Camp is a full day program for children ages 3-6 years old. Themes include science fun, surf and turf, world travel, cooking and field trips plus lots of opportunities to make new friends, learn and play. Extended Day supervision will be offered from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Pick Your Fun is a mix of full-day and partial-day camps, programs and academic classes. Try your hand at STEM-related activities, coding, movie-making, gaming or art classes.
Upper School students also have an opportunity to take special interest or summer classes such as College Prep U.S. Government or Health for academic credit to free up time so students can focus on other courses during the regular school year. College Essay 101 is intended for incoming seniors who will graduate in the class of 2021 and want to get a head start on the college application and essay writing process.
