Mr. Michael DiPaola
Science and Physical Education Teacher

Inspiration: I've often thought I had a special talent in relaying information to children. Teaching is a natural extension of that talent. Also, I realized I've admired the skills of teachers from whom I learned best. I incorporate their talents in my classroom. When I interviewed for my first job at The Summit, the school seemed very familiar to the schools I attended while growing up. I instantly felt like part of the community.
Philosophy: My philosophy agrees with the statement, "All children can learn." Over the past few years, I have become attuned to their multiple intelligence levels. It's not a matter of if a child is smart, but how is that child smart? My job is to help each child find out how they are smart and utilize their gifts to make them responsible, independent thinkers.
Personal: Wife, Kelly; sons, Tommy and Joey, who attend The Summit. I enjoy playing golf, baseball, and going for a run.
