Inspiration: The Summit is a place where students are allowed to grow in so many areas. The environment allows students to take chances because there are so many in the community waiting to pick you up if you stumble.
Philosophy: I was the quiet and introverted elementary student. I did everything with a smile but was often nervous in school. I was too scared to share what I had to offer. I still carry this memory with me as a classroom teacher. It reminds me daily to recognize all the different types of learners and emotional states of young students. It is my duty to create a comfortable environment that allows anyone to contribute.
Personal: My wife, Dr. Kirstin McEachern, is the curriculum and instruction director at The Summit. My daughter, Avery '21, and son, Owen '23, both attend The Summit.
