Mrs. Meghan Cole

Fifth Grade Language Arts Teacher

Year Started: 2012

Degrees: B.A., Middle Grades Education, Northern Kentucky University; M.A., Integrating Technology in the Classroom, Walden University

Experience: 7 years in education prior to The Summit

Inspiration: My inspiration for teaching comes from when I was in high school. During that time, I volunteered in a fourth grade classroom working with students of all abilities. After a few weeks I knew I found my college major and profession. Being able to work with students in small class sizes, and the focus on developing the student as a whole drew me to The Summit.

Philosophy: I believe every child has the ability to succeed through a positive learning environment. Positive reinforcement is a key element in a student’s success in and out of the classroom. I enjoy working with students to be a positive role model and see them develop in their skills and growing in grace and wisdom.

Personal: I am married to my wonderful husband, Sean, who is the principal of Craftsman Properties. Together we have two fantastic children, Ethan, seven, and Regan, one. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and working on our houses.
