Inspiration: "Having Light We Pass it on to Others" was the motto of my undergraduate alma mater. This meaning touches so many aspects of our lives; transcending the generations in our families, raising our children, giving back to our communities and the education and mentoring of our students. Watching students evolve emotionally and academically inspires me in my work as a school counselor. I embrace the opportunity to help students build self-confidence and discover their own personal ‘light’ to share with the world.

Philosophy: An active listener will be a lifelong learner, which builds the foundation of an effective counselor. With an open heart and mind, I can support students as they traverse the difficult journey of adolescence. Through the creation of a calm and respectful counseling environment, students will always feel safe, understood and welcome.

Personal: Husband, Brad; son, Liam.
