Experience: Worked as a math and history teacher for three middle and high school; 10 years in education prior to The Summit;MathCounts team coach; Baseball and wrestling coach

Inspiration: In looking for a school for our sons in Cincinnati, we knew we had found a “home away from home” as soon as we visited The Summit. The atmosphere of caring, the character and faith education, the passionate and brilliant teachers, and of course the jellybean artwork, won us over completely. I was ultimately blessed with the opportunity to join this inspiring community as a teacher after enrolling our sons.

Philosophy: My classroom is a safe place to take risks, share strengths, make mistakes and learn from them thoughtfully. I will always be the first one in the room to admit when I’ve made a mistake or when I don’t know something, and will guide my students in developing the skills of seeking answers and learning from what we don’t know (yet).

Personal: My sons Patrick (PJ) '23, Connor '26 and Ryan '31 all attend The Summit. We moved to Cincinnati from Philadelphia, Pa. when my wife, Maya, accepted a job at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
