Inspiration: I was initially inspired to teach through my experiences as a high school student at The Summit. Not only did I have incredible examples of teachers but I was also profoundly shaped by The Summit’s character program and my responsibility to serve others. The unique opportunity to mentor students and develop meaningful relationships, just as my former teachers did with me, has inspired me to return to The Summit community.
Philosophy: I believe it is incredibly important to treat students as individuals and to engage them through many different types of learning experiences. It is important to create a classroom that encourages critical thinking and learning through self-inquiry. It is my hope that a fun, respectful and engaging classroom will encourage my students to explore the world around them and develop a passion for learning.
Personal: I graduated from The Summit in 2012. Married to my wife, Olivia, who works as registered nurse. I love playing and coaching sports, especially soccer.
