Inspiration: From a very early age, I have enjoyed being with children. I find watching the development of the human mind to be completely fascinating. Children are enthralled with all things newly presented to them and this excitement inspires me to teach them as much as possible. The Summit Montessori Program offers an environment conducive to the intellectual development of each individual mind in a very nurturing and loving way.
Philosophy: I believe in recognizing the uniqueness of the individual child. By developing their gifts and talents, children gain the confidence and strength to know and love who they are yet value others with different gifts. I believe in showing children how to be loving and compassionate towards others, caring for their surroundings, encourage their continual thirst for knowledge and develop a love for learning.
Personal: My husband, Ted, and I have been blessed with four children, Elizabeth, Annie, Teddy and Tommy. I thoroughly enjoy spending time with my family especially traveling together, hiking, boating, biking and exploring. I am a native of Cincinnati and am always finding new adventures in the city to experience. I cherish my time with good friends and relax by reading, cooking, knitting and needlepointing.
