Inspiration: I am fascinated with children’s ability to learn. Assisting them to discover their own capabilities and help students realize their potential through progress and achievements throughout the school year brings great satisfaction and allows me to share my passion for language and culture. I am particularly enthusiastic to be part of The World Language Program at Summit because it focuses on achieving a high level proficiency in the target language starting from early ages through youth.

Philosophy: My teaching philosophy is to create a positive learning experience, engaging students and making connections with them. I believe in the ability of every child to go beyond their own world through the experience and acquisition of a foreign language and culture. I always like to recall the thoughts of the philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein on his manuscript “The Limits of My Language are the Limits of My World.”

Personal: Husband, Paul Palek; children Marcela and Sofia Palek.
