Philosophy: My educational philosophy involves the commitment to understand every child in my classroom and to understand the unique way each child will process and retain information. I think successful teaching begins with children being happy and comfortable in the classroom, followed by discovering what makes each child motivated and interested in learning.
Inspiration: I am continually evolving as a Montessori teacher. My teaching style reflects a blend of my personal life experience, my education, the positive influence of the teachers and staff I work with at Summit, and the personalities of the children I teach. I understand and appreciate the educational materials and the benefits of Montessori Methods in education. I recognize the freedom Montessori brings to the classroom and the resulting development of self-discipline. I value the individual learning process that is emphasized in the Montessori classroom and the mutual respect children and teachers develop for each other during class.
