The Summit Parents Association offers two Library Support initiatives: the Library Legacy Program for the Upper School library and Birthday Books for the Montessori, Lower and Middle School libraries.
Library Legacy Program
Summit supports have an opportunity to purchase books for the Upper School Library and dedicate them to Upper School students and Alumni of The Summit through the Library Legacy Program. Celebrate your child’s birthday or any occasion. Based on the interests of your child, the SPA will purchase a book for the Upper School Library. A dedication bookplate in the front of the book will list the student’s name or graduate’s name and/or their class year. This is a wonderful way to support the library and honor your child, or their class, if you choose an anonymous class dedication.
You may initiate the request at any time during the year. We will send an email notice to you with the title of the book(s) chosen.
Please use the Library Legacy Program Order Form to order your book(s).
Celebrate your child’s birthday with a Birthday Book and help build The Summit library collection. A pre-selected book will be purchased through the SPA for the library thanks to your donation. A special bookplate will be mounted inside of the book dedicating it to your child in honor of their birthday! Your child will take the book home to enjoy for a few days and then return it to the permanent library collection to share with everyone. Summer birthdays may be presented near the child's half birthday.
Use the Birthday Book Form and fill out a separate form for each child. Please allow three weeks to process your request as books have to be decided upon, purchased and prepared. If your request arrives too close to the birthday, your child will receive a lovely Birthday Card telling them you have gifted a book in honor of their birthday and it will arrive soon.
