Summit Parents Association
Every parent of a Summit student is automatically a member of the Summit Parents Association. The SPA is committed to building a strong and inclusive parent community dedicated to enhancing the overall student educational experience at The Summit.
The Summit Parents Association (SPA) supports the Mission of The Summit Country Day School and promotes a strong, integrated and diverse community of parents, faculty, staff and students to enhance the education of our children.
Through programs and events, the SPA provides opportunities for parents to connect with one another and make positive contributions through volunteerism. We look forward to meeting you and helping you get connected as a parent at The Summit.
A Message from Lonny Elfenbein, 2026–27 SPA President

Dear Summit Families,
Hi, I’m Lonny Elfenbein and it is my honor to serve as your Summit Parents Association (SPA) President for the 2026–27 school year. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the SPA, we are a parent-led organization with the sole purpose of working together with the school to serve and promote The Summit and its mission.
You may not have realized it, but all parents or guardians of an enrolled student are automatically members of the SPA. So, for all our new families, I’d like to formally welcome you to our association. For our returning families, thank you for being part of and supporting the SPA.
The Summit is a very special place for me and my family, and I’ve been fortunate to have my daughter Olivia ’30 attend Summit since Kindergarten. Her mother, Holly, and I have seen first-hand how her experiences both inside and outside the classroom at The Summit have shaped her into the young woman that she is today. This is what motivated me to give back and volunteer to serve the SPA, when given the opportunity it was an easy decision.
As a volunteer-based parent-led organization, we always have plenty of opportunities to become involved. Whether it’s helping us with Fall Fest, serving as a room parent, joining the executive board or volunteering with any of the other many activities and events, there are plenty of ways to help.
I’m excited about the upcoming school year and look forward to working for you. If there’s ever anything that I can help with or if you have any questions about the SPA or Summit community, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me here.
Sincerely,
Lonny, SPA President
